Mary Still

Trained as a cognitive psychologist with expertise in attention and memory, Mary L. Still is always looking for ways in which her research expertise can be used to inform her teaching. This has led to her involvement in projects exploring the effectiveness of different quizzing techniques, the relationship between self-perceived ability and course performance, and the influence of academic role models on course performance. She has had a variety of teaching experiences ranging from large in-person lectures, laboratory instruction, small methods-based courses, independent research projects, as well as online classes (with and without laboratory components). Her current “obsession” lies in improving the experience for ODU online psychology majors.
