Miguel Ramlatchan is the Assistant Vice President for Technology in Old Dominion University’s Office of Distance Learning. Old Dominion University is a public doctoral research institution with its main campus in Norfolk, VA., and has been a pioneer in technology-delivered distance learning since the mid-1980s. ODU has graduated over 15,000+ students through online, broadcast, video conferencing, video streaming, and telepresence technologies from across the US and the world.
Miguel received his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering in 1998, his Master’s degree in Engineering Management in 2000, and his Ph.D. in Instructional Design and Technology in 2016, all from ODU. At ODU, Miguel is responsible for the instructional systems, infrastructure, and operational and technical support for distance and online students and instructors. His research interests include multimedia design theory and practical applications of audio and video interaction in online classes and programs.
