Dr. Le-Jenkins began her nursing career 22 years ago as a pediatric hematology/oncology nurse. In 1998, she returned to ODU and completed her PNP graduate degree and began working in pediatric emergency medicine. In 2006, she transitioned to primary care and continues to serve as a primary care provider at Admiral Joel T. Boone Branch Health Clinic.
Dr. Le-Jenkins is actively involved in combatting pediatric obesity. She started a pediatric weight management program for her clinic, the very first of its kind for Navy Medicine East. She completed her doctorate degree from ODU in 2012, and her research focused on primary care management of childhood obesity.
Dr. Le-Jenkins joined the ODU nursing faculty in 2014 as an Adjunct Professor in the Doctor of Nursing Practice Program, and has served as a Lecturer for the last three years in both the DNP, Family Nurse Practitioner and Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Programs.
